The Elizabeth River Trail is a 10.5 mile urban biking and pedestrian trail along the Norfolk waterfront, maintained and marketed by the Friends of the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation with support from the City of Norfolk. Description
An impassioned effort is underway to re-energize and enhance the Elizabeth River Trail.
Kayak launches, solar lighting, playgrounds, improved wayfinding, and more. Led by the Friends of the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation and supported by the community, the expansion aims to enhance and transform the Elizabeth River Trail as a recreational, social, and educational destination that improves environmental awareness, neighborhood connectivity, and innovative economic development in Norfolk. All the while, we’ll stay true to the trail’s historical significance.
We need your help to bring this exciting vision to life.
