Mission Statement

The mission of DPR: To rescue, rehabilitate and find lifetime homes for unwanted and homeless pets. To continue educating the public that spaying/altering of every pet will end the cycle of euthanization. To work hand and hand with other ethical rescue groups and shelters to save the victims of the people who choose to turn away from the suffering that they themselves can change. So that we can: Continue our passion that enables small miracles for the pets and the people who love them.

Description

Delaware Pet Rescue (Delaware Puppy Rescue) is a non-profit, 501c3 all volunteer animal rescue organization that has been operating with the help of volunteers, foster families and financial supporters since 2004. We save the lives of cats, dogs, puppies and kittens from high-kill shelters all along the east coast, puppy mills, and those in our local area that are reaching out for help to rehome or provide medical care and shelter for their pet. To date, we have rescued over 3,000 pets.

Over the many years we have developed relationships with both local and remote shelters, animal transport organizations and other rescue groups in an effort to save as many animals as we possibly can. We work hard to support our community by sponsoring spay/neuter surgeries, vet care, food and supplies along with responding to the pleas of shelters that reach out to us in desperate need of our help.
