Based in Chicago, Brown Paper Box Co. produces theatre that connects audiences to the heart of the story and to our shared human experience. By combining smart, simple design with clear storytelling, we make traditional pieces relevant and new work accessible.​

Description

Brown Paper Box Co. was formed with a do-it-yourself mindset - a notion of starting from scratch, building theatre from the ground up, and keeping onstage moments simple and honest. We pride ourselves on staying true to four core values: Integrity, Quality, Community, and Safety.

We produce two full productions each year (a play and a musical), as well as two special events which range from cabarets, to readings of new work, to dance parties to bring the community together, outside of the theatre.
