Million Dollar Teacher Project (MDTP) is a Phoenix-based nonprofit (#81-3050329) that was established in October 2016 as a mechanism to strengthen schools in Arizona. The work of our organization revolves around the principle that the most cost-effective & sustainable way to improve schools is to direct more resources & support directly to the teaching profession, so schools have the ability to attract great talent into every classroom. The mission of MDTP is to elevate the teaching profession through increased recognition, compensation & support. Our vision is to create a world where every student is taught by a highly trained, qualified, understanding & engaged teacher. Recognition, Compensation & Support are the three pillars that we develop community-centered, grassroots approaches around to push the needle forward in the teaching profession, schools & the education system. Our Take a Teacher to Lunch (TTL) program sees all of the certified teachers at our partnered campuses treated to a delicious lunch, lots of fun, games & raffle prizes & occasionally, a keynote speaker. It's an hour or so of hard-to-come-by down time for our incredible educators to just enjoy each other, a scrumptious meal & make lasting memories. It's MDTP's (& the community's) of uplifting their spirits & refilling their cups so that they go back to their classrooms full of students knowing that the community appreciates them & their efforts to improve our future!
