Mission Statement

The mission of Every Bottom Covered is to ensure that families, no matter of the biological make-up have an adequate supply of diapers for their infants and toddlers; to raise community awareness that "basic human needs" include diapers and baby related products and that these needs are not being met for children living in poverty and to advocate for policy reform so that diapers and baby related products are included in the definition of and provision for the "basic human needs" of families.

Description

Every Bottom Covered is the only diaper bank in Western New York. Since we have partnered with Delavan Grider Community Center, we have covered over 1000 children with diapers and wipes. We are branching out the program to include children with special needs and seniors. Every day, families come in for services and express need for other basic needs that are often unmet or not entirely provided with other services. As we grow, we need volunteers to be help us continue to organize our space, intake our clients, distribute supplies and link families with other services that help progress their success! We are also starting up the Erie County Alliance for Period Supplies (ECAPS) that will provide pads and liners to women in low-income households (including homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, schools).
