Mission Statement

The mission of the Recreation and Community Services is to develop and implement enriching community, cultural and recreational opportunities that foster the overall well-being and personal development of our community.

Description

The Recreation and Community Services Department is comprised of four (4) divisions, including Community Services, Recreation, Cultural Arts/ Special Events and Administration. Together, the Divisions provide programming and resources to the community that include youth/adult sports, day camps, after school programs, cultural arts, wellness/fitness, senior services, teen programing, special events and volunteer opportunities. Each year, it is estimated that more than 250,000 visits for the organized programing provided by the Department and an additional 200,000 for non-organized activities at park facilities.
