Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote better quality of care and improved quality of life of residents of long-term care facilities in Alameda County.
Description
The Ombudsman Program is a community resource serving the elderly in long-term care facilities, their families and caregivers. The Ombudsman's chief role is to ensure that residents of long-term care facilities are receiving the services to which they are entitled, including quality care.
The Ombudsmen advocate for the dignity, quality of life, and quality of care for residents of Long-Term Care Facilities throughout Alameda County. Ombudsmen ensure that the residents’ rights are always respected and they report violations to appropriate government authorities.
We respond and investigate hundreds of complaints a year. All services are free and confidential.
