Mission Statement

The MNFF is dedicated to supporting the best independent cinema in the world while celebrating the beautiful town and state we call home. Our festival is all about the work of first and second time filmmakers. It is our sole focus, and it's is what we love to showcase. Our filmmakers come from all over the world to attend the Festival each August and each year we welcome more than 3,200 patrons from around the state and beyond.

Description

The event takes place in scenic Middlebury, Vermont in late August each year. Our 4th Annual event will roll out August 23-26, 2018.

More than 60 directors, producers, writers and cinematographers from around the world attended MNFF3 this past August and had a wonderful time here in Middlebury. We also welcome other distinguished guests to our stages and offer compelling panel discussions and conversations on topics of interest to both our filmmakers and the folks who come to see these films.
