Mission Statement
To assist children and young adults in need in our community to be successful in school and life
Description
Since 1937 we have worked as a non-profit assisting children and young adults in need in the Santa Monica Bay area. We send elementary school students to camp and provide school supplies, dental and vision care, college scholarships, and classroom performances of puppet shows on bullying. Our funds come from our member-run thrift shop (voted best in Santa Monica in 2017 and 2018). Members are expected to volunteer at least fifteen hours a month working in the thrift shop (1453 15 th Street in Santa Monica) and/or operating our philanthropic programs. If you are interested in joining our productive (and fun!) group, visit our website at http://assistanceleague.org/santa-monica.
