Mission Statement

NewGround is a community-building organization that creates, connects and empowers Jewish and Muslim change-makers in America. Through a professional fellowship, high school leadership council and public programming, NewGround transforms Muslim-Jewish relations and advances a shared agenda for change.

Description

With tremendous visibility and press over the past three years, NewGround is beginning to shift the public narrative around the potential of Jewish-Muslim relations. We provide an intensive, far reaching, and sustained process that is deeply rooted in dialogue, self-awareness, equity, inclusion, and leadership development. NewGround is one of the few places that allows adults to grow as leaders, engage in dialogue with a diverse group of their peers, and learn skills that can be used to transform one's community.

Our network of over 280 alumni utilize the skills they have gained in our Fellowshipship program, and are active leaders in their community. In addition to the 40 young leaders trained through both of NewGround’s leadership each year, NewGround’s public events have directly reached an estimated 10,364 in 2017.
