Mission Statement

AFRICA DIGITAL POULTRY is a non-profit organization that seeks to solve hunger, poverty and illiteracy issues in the rural Sub-Saharan Africa regions through the development of community based sustainable poultry farming, while promoting digital education and basic literacy for mainly women and children.

Description

Advancing Digital Education in Africa through the development of local backyard Poultry Farming.

Our vision for fighting hunger and poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa include among other things, the promotion and development of local backyard poultry farming and basic literacy.

Our goal is to increase the local backyard poultry production by teaching the farmers how to make Egg Hatching Incubators from Recycled Used Refrigerators.

In our quest to promote basic and digital literacy in rural Sub-Saharan Africa, some of the difficulties we had encountered were related to the fact that most
of the farmers were more concerned about food security and increase revenues than education.

To eradicate poverty in Africa, we need, among other things, to educate young African people for the jobs of the future by providing them 21st-century work
skills and mentoring that will generate economic growth, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

Our goals are to assist them in the following areas:

Egg Incubators: Making Egg Incubators from Recycled Refrigerators.

Poultry Farming: Educate farmers about the best practices for poultry farming.

Basic and Digital Literacy: Teach basic computer literacy to kids and basic literacy, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to adults, mainly women and young girls.
