Mission Statement

Central Texas Dachshund Rescue was started in September of 2000. Our membership has grown yearly, providing more foster families and volunteers to help find loving, forever homes for our dachshunds. What we do Most dogs spend at least a little time in foster care to evaluate their temperaments and work on their potty training and socialization with other animals and family members. This is a vital component to a good, permanent home placement. Foster homes provide good nutrition and an understanding lap to prepare our dachshunds for life in a world where fear, abuse and starvation are non-existent for the rescued dog.

Description

CTDR has been in existence since 2000. We bring 150+ new dogs into Rescue each year and we adopt that many out as well. We host many adoption events throughout the year and we achieve our goals with adoptions each year
