Mission Statement

Michigan 4-H Youth Development is a youth program that involves volunteers in providing positive, experiential, educational opportunities for and with youth. Our mission is to create environments, through collaboration, that build strong, healthy youth who are proactive in a complex and changing world.

Description

Michigan 4-H Youth Development involves 33,000 adult and older youth volunteers in providing non-formal, hands on learning activities to more than 250,000 young people annually in communities in all 83 counties in Michigan. Michigan 4-H Youth Development is a program of Michigan State University Extension.
