Mission Statement

Bridge the gap between professional psychology and the fire service by educating mental health providers to become culturally competent to the needs of firefighters and their families in addition to training fire departments in firefighter psychology and behavioral health.

Description

FSPA was created in 2017. We offer continuing education courses to mental health providers and department wide training on behavioral health. Over time, we hope to create a population of clinicians who understand the culture and needs of firefighters and their families to be more effective in the services provided.
