Description

St Gabriel's Hospice and Palliative Care provides care that optimizes comfort and dignity and is consistent with family and patient needs and goals, with the patient needs and goals as a priority. Sites in Texas for St. Gabriel's Hospice and Pallative Care are located in Fort Worth/Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and San Angelo. We offer physician, nursing and social work services, spiritual counseling, home health aides, pharmacy services and bereavement counseling, as well as, music and massage therapies. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with the various hospice disciplines.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to recognize dying as a normal process of living. As a volunteer, you will be able to help patients focus on maintaining a quality of life for the remaining of their days. You will recognize that the patient and family are a unit which you can serve with touch and reassurance.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn from and share with our patients as hospice volunteers come gently into the space of St. Gabriel's Hospice patients. We enter to the degree that we are invited and, thus, we are invited into their story and by that act, you will become a part of their story.
