Mission Statement

The Alaska Men’s Run is an IRS 501 c3 Corporation. This event is one of the oldest activities within the State raising funds and awareness by using the race entry fees to fund educational activities, health awareness, promote early detection of prostate and testicular cancer, and provide financial aid to men with these cancers. All proceeds stay in Alaska.

Description

The race was established in 1996, making the 2018 race the 23nd annual running. It is a United States Track & Field (USTAF) certified 5-mile course which follows the Chester Creek greenbelt paved trail. Participants may choose to run or walk. In the 5 mile timed event awards are given to age group winners, top male and female finishers, overall cancer survivors winner, and team awards. The race also has a 2-mile walk route. Events are open to men, women, children, and families. Teams and Military are encouraged to join.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with this event-we have something for everyone! Join or start a team, help set up or tear down, man a water station on the course, help sign in runners and pass out shirts-we've got a job for you. Come see us at the start line!
