Mission Statement

Matthew 25 provides emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing, and services to homeless men in the Nashville-Davidson County Area. Unlike other shelters, the Matthew 25 program is about helping men to change. Change depends on the needs of the individual. For one it could be finding a full time job and saving the money needed for permanent housing; for another it may be accumulating clean time following an alcohol or drug treatment or it may be to prove to a loved one he can successfully complete a program. The goal of Matthew 25 is to help each participant become a productive and self-sufficient member of society.

Description

From its inception 32 years ago, Matthew 25 has provided services to over 6,000 men. The men coming into Matthew 25 are typically homeless, and battling some type of addiction. We help them face their addiction by offering individualized case management, AA/NA programs, and one-on-one counseling from our Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor. Our goal is to fulfill the mission of Matthew 25 each and every day.

The Mission of Matthew 25 is to reconnect men to a productive life in the community by providing HOPE through a structured program including housing, meals, case management, and community living.

The key word is community. We must have advocates in the community, such as yourself, to give generously so that our mission may continue. We cannot win this fight alone! It will take all of us pulling together in order to make a greater impact on homelessness.
