Description

Young Disciples Christian Academy provides K - 12, private school education to primarily ESL and first generation students. Primarily our students receive tuition reimbursement through the state of Arizona AAA tuition reimbursement program. Staff contribute to student tuition by accepting below market wages. Families contribute to student tuition as facility maintenance, transportation, and school offsite chaperones. The school provides internship and elderly worker career development opportunities in teaching and paraprofessional experience in the core and extracurricular subjects. The school is interested in providing volunteers opportunity to prepare for careers as digital instructors and ESL teachers by providing a one year training program in ESL English-language Arts, and concrete and semi-concrete math skills acquisition.
