Mission Statement

Victor Hugo once said "Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come." As we move into the middle of the 21st Century, our society is faced with unprecedented challenges on multiple levels -- ecological, civic and human. Waldorf education -- developed nearly 100 years ago and currently the world’s most rapidly expanding independent school movement -- has never been more important or relevant.

Description

Join Circus Smirkus at the soccer fields on the Saratoga Casino Hotel grounds on July 9th and 10th as they present their 2018 Big Top Tour, "Vaudeville!" - a celebration of the grand American tradition of variety entertainment! Join us for a spectacular lineup of unforgettable acts, with amazing acrobats, mystifying magicians, jaunty jugglers, and wondrous wirewalkers. Circus Smirkus is presented for the 12th year by the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs who invites you to witness ultra-talented kids from across the country - ages 10 to 18 - who star on highwire and trapeze, as clowns, jugglers, acrobats and more. Tickets are $19 for children 2-12 and $25 for 13 and older. Children under 2 are free on an adult's lap. Tickets can be purchased locally at The Children's Museum at Saratoga and at G. Willikers or online at www.smirkus.org . Contact Fran at 518-365-3459 for group sales and for more information.
