Mission Statement

The aim of the Helping Hands Community Garden is to serve the people of Huntington County. The garden serves to not only nourish the families of Huntington, but it's produce helps provide nutritional education. Our mission is to educate, engage, and provide helping hands to those who stop by. We value the opportunity for people of all ages to plant, grown, harvest, learn and finally eat the produce out of the Helping Hands Community Garden!

Description

The Helping Hands Community Garden started in 2010 with a goal of having individuals pick their own produce and educating those individuals about ways to cook it, as well as educating youth about gardening and vegetables. In the past 3 years alone, we have produced and given away over 20,000 pounds of fresh produce.
