To provide a FREE overnight bereavement camp program for grieving Long Island children, ages 7 - 17, who are coping with the loss of a parent and/or sibling.
Camp Good Morning was formed in 2018. Our goals are to support, educate, and empower Long Island children, ages 7 - 17, as they move through their grief journey.
Camp Good Mourning! provides FREE overnight weekend bereavement camp programs during the Fall and Spring seasons in a traditional summer camp setting in which children have the opportunity to share their grief story, identify and explore their feelings, learn about positive and negative coping skills, how to stay connected to their loved ones and their new friends at camp after camp ends, and so much more!
Camp Good Mourning! is proud to announce that we have the support of Sir Paul McCartney, The NY Mets, the original Billy Joel Band and Long Island Music Hall of Famers -- The Lords of 52nd Street, Long Island comedian Jim Breuer, former NY Islander Travis Hamonic, musician and activist Moby, former child actress Mara Wilson and local Long Island businesses, including TD Bank.
