Mission Statement
The Center for Cognitive and Brain Health investigates the effects of lifestyle choices and health behaviors (e.g., physical activity, diet) and their physiological sequelae (e.g., fitness, adiposity) on brain and cognition. From a neuroimaging perspective, our interests lie in understanding how health influences brain and behavior as it relates to increased health and effective functioning for individuals across the lifespan.
Description
The Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University recently opened in the fall of 2017. Located in the brand new Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex, the Center investigates the effects of lifestyle choices and health behaviors (e.g., physical activity, diet) and their physiological sequelae (e.g., fitness, adiposity) on brain and cognition. There are currently studies involving older adults as well as children that are open and enrolling.
