The Smith House Health Care Center

Mission Statement

The mission of the Smith House Health Care Center is to provide compassionate, high quality health care to individuals who are frail and elderly or chronically ill, including those of limited financial resources. Current and former residents of Stamford, and the relatives of residents of Stamford shall be given priority in admission to the Smith House provided they are otherwise eligible. The Directors and staff of the Smith House are committed to preserving and enhancing the quality of life of the residents in the facility. The Directors and staff are also dedidcated to providing leadership within the community in the care of the elderly and chronically ill. Residents of the Smith House are encouraged to be as independent as possible and to reach their highest level of physical, mental, social and emotional potential in a safe, warm and caring environment.
