Mission Statement

Sunshine Pals Ministries shines the love of Jesus into the lives of orphans, orphanages and children in need by building personal, long-term relationships with the communities we serve. This work is supported through the generosity of private donors and sponsors. Focusing on Mozambique, Africa and Philadelphia, we partner with orphanages and community centers to meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of the children these centers serve. We are compelled by the words of Jesus in John 4:34 "My food," said Jesus "is to do the will of Him who sent me and finish His work." This desire has been planted into our hearts and grows with each child we help. "If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight." Isaiah 58

Description

Sunshine Pals Ministries is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the love of Jesus by meeting the physical, social, education, and spiritual needs of children in Mozambique, Africa and Philadelphia, USA. SPM partners with centers within the communities we serve to carry out our mission. Centro Arco Iris Matola Rio, nicknamed "Project Raphael", was the first center we supported. The center is located in Matola Rio, Mozambique and serves 36 children, all with unique needs and backgrounds. SPM provides monetary support and sponsors who the children lovingly refer to as "their special pal far away." SPM has continued to grow and now sponsors a second center, The Project Purpose Transformation and Restoration Center (Project Purpose) located outside of Maputo, Africa. In addition, SPM has expanded our mission to the local Philadelphia area by offering students’ scholarships to The Common Place Scholars, a Faith-Based after school program that inspires young minds to learn in a safe and secure environment. We also provide free food to the community, and deliver gifts and food to bless families in need during the Christmas holiday.
