SHINING HOPE MISSIONS - SHOMI

Description

SHOMI works to empower & serve communities, families & children in Haiti. Our Haitian team coordinates 2 soccer teams and a kid's club in Tabarre & Croix des Bouquet. Every Saturday the 2 teams practice soccer & over 40 kids enjoy fun and educational activities at the kids club. Several times a year a group comes to Haiti from the US to work with the Haitian group. We plant trees, complete school improvement projects & visit families in the communities we work in. We can have over 250 kids taking part in SHOMI activities. Our goals include employing Haitians so they can provide for their families, bringing people to Christ, increasing the number of children going to school, providing lunch at school for children so they do not have to go without as well as improving access to computers and lighting for students.
