Mission Statement

Our mission is to further the knowledge about the significance of the history and activities of the 314th Infantry Regiment of the 79th Division of the United States Army in World War I and to maintain and collect for the purpose of public display equipment and artifacts related to its training at then Camp Meade, Maryland, to its deployment and military action in France.

Description

The Descendants and Friends of the 314th are a group of people dedicated to honoring and preserving the story of their fathers, grandfathers, and family members in the First World War.

Originally organized as the Veterans of the 314th Infantry A.E.F. the veterans have since passed on.

The only known World War I organization that has met continuously, without interruption, since 1919. As such, this is our 100th Annual Memorial Service.
