Mission Statement

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED (a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks), has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPasadena, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPasadena event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Description

Words2Action is the fiscal agent of TEDxPasadena. TEDxPasadena is a group of women and men seeking to transform the conversation. We reach for this goal by providing a forum for the cross-pollination of ideas and expertise between industries, socioeconomic groups, ages and life experiences.

Our local conference is designed to create a community of bright minds with diverse interests to share discourse inspired by TEDx talks that are idea-focused, and to cover a wide range of subjects. Our community seeks to foster learning, inspiration and wonder - and involvement is sure to spark conversations that matter.
