Our program offers many opportunities, and we welcome you to share your time, talent and compassion. There are so many areas to serve. You can work directly with hospice & palliative patients and their families or assist behind the scenes at our office. Our volunteers provide companionship, give time to family members and caregivers to take care of themselves, grocery shop, run errands, read to a patient, play games, write a letter, help with phone calls, play or enjoy music or just be a comforting presence. There is always a need for Spanish speaking volunteers. We are expanding our volunteer services in your area to better serve this community. Let's talk about the many ways you can make a difference!

Pet Therapy Partners

We are looking for CERTIFIED PET THERAPY TEAMS to enhance the lives of each patient they interact with. Join our team and help bring love, joy, affection and comfort to our hospice patients. We will define the area you wish to serve and work with your schedule to provide 2-6 patient visits a month. If your pet is over 2 years old, meets all the usual medical requirements and has a certificate from a recognized therapy animal organization i.e. Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International, we would love to add you to the team. The training is brief, and the rewards are great. Let's talk!

Hospice Volunteers - Office

Volunteers play an important role in serving the patients and families of MemorialCare Hospice & Palliative Services. One of the important ways they share their time, talent and compassion is by assisting in our office. We are searching for someone to work with our medical billing group. You will need to be comfortable with computers and appreciate attention to detail. We will absolutely provide training and support on our systems. There is no direct patient interaction, but you would need to be comfortable making phone calls. Wednesday and Thursdays are preferred, times can be flexible, and all work will be done here in our Hospice office with a supportive group of people. As with all of our volunteers, there will be a background check and physical in addition to training. I would love to talk with you!
