To serve immigrant and minority youths, attending accredited U.S. colleges, by providing mentoring and scholarships opportunities; to recognize Liberian professionals excelling in the diaspora, who inspire excellence in the youths we serve.

Description

Liberian Awards Inc tells and inspires stories. The nonprofit tells the stories of immigrants and refugees that have excelled in the diaspora (its honorees) while inspiring the yet untold career stories of immigrant and minority college students (its scholarship recipients).

Liberian Awards, Inc was founded in 2010 by Samantha Divine Jallah and initially served students of Liberian descent. In 2015, the organization expanded its reach to include first and second generation immigrants and racial and ethnic minorities. To date, the organization has served students from four continents. The organization remains enthusiastically committed to its vision of a community without illiteracy.
