Description

Are you interested in joining a vibrant Board of Directors enhancing the experience of students? The CPTC Foundation supports the college's efforts to educate tomorrow's workforce by providing scholarships, emergency assistance and program support for all of CPTC's 43 programs and nearly 7,000 students a year.

Our Board is focused on finding sustainable ways to create connections for the college. A group of passionate Board members have brought us to a $1.1 million endowment, providing more than $100,000 in scholarships a year.

CPTC's average student is 30 years old, a first-generation college student, and more than 60% of them are female. With programs in aviation/aerospace, science/technology/engineering/design, automotive/trades, advanced manufacturing, nursing, health/human development, and business/personal services, our graduates are the backbone of Pierce County's workforce.

We are looking for passionate individuals who will support our Board's efforts to build relationships with members of Pierce County. The right candidate will have an appreciation for two-year colleges, a belief in technical education, and a willingness to be a proud supporter of our #respect4tech effort. The Board meets 6 times a year and is an active participant in our annual fundraising event.

Are you interested in being a part of building on our 75-year history? Contact Tawny Dotson at tawny.dotson@cptc.edu for more information.
