Mission Statement

Our volunteer program offers opportunities to those interested in helping in the hard work of creating a dignified and better quality life for orphaned and abandoned children by offering them the opportunity for a better future. The main objective of this program is to provide more attention to our children and support our staff through programs that involve both our girls and staff. Through these programs the volunteer can develop their professional knowledge and talents such as: (art, nursing, language teacher, cleaning, cooking, psychology, computer teacher, etc.) Any of these programs with which better identify yourself to work with children and staff will be of great help.

Description

Niños de Cristo Orphanage is located in the Dominican Republic that was founded in 1993. it houses more than 160 children who have been abandoned and/or victims of abuse, both from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Niños de Cristo Orphanage is dedicated to improving the lives of the children, focusing on education, health and housing, as most of the children spend their entire childhood and young life in the orphanage. Our mission is to provide the orphaned children with a home, health and education through college to help them become independent and productive members of their communities.
