Mission Statement

It was founded in 1999 by Debby Avey. ACE international strives to break down racial barriers, create positive intercultural experiences and provide opportunities to share our values, to discover talents and natural abilities through our international internship programs. ACE will provide the tools to enable our students to open up their world view perspective in international business and the arts community through innovative technology and as discovered through hands on application with masters in their fields and through international travel.

Description

Our main program is bringing in high school age foreign students, mainly form France, arranging for them to stay in a host home for 3 short weeks. They are immersed in the English language and get an authentic American Family experience. For most, this is their life long dream to see California and to meet and live in a "real American Family". In order to get the real American Experience, we need host Families. ACE takes care of the full day excursions costs and transportation so they can see our beautiful state. ACE provides the transportation to and from the airport as well as each scheduled activity. ACE also provides a hospitality assistance of $400-700 to the host in order to help cover cost of meals while the student is in their home for the 3 week stay. Our program has evolved into offering internships to these same students because they like our program so much. We need hosts and businesses in order to expand this portion of ACE as well.
