Our mission is to share knowledge and power, to organize and to advocate for the people who live and work in our neighborhoods. We build leadership to seize opportunities and to work for social and racial justice.

Description

The District 1 Community Council is comprised of the Eastview, Conway, Battle Creek and Highwood Hills neighborhoods. Our job is to connect local residents to city and county officials. We provide guidance toward local government resources and help keep community members informed of issues that arise in our neighborhoods. In addition, we promote relationships between neighbors, schools, organizations and local businesses.

Zoning and development, community building, and environmental concerns are the primary areas District 1 helps with through our relationship with the City of St. Paul.
