~Helping families leave welfare safely and permanently~We are a partnership of welfare consumers, the local faith community, and social service providers.

Description

Our Consumer Leadership Team is a concept based on a model out of Story County called Beyond Welfare. The team provides leadership development, speaking, and consulting opportunities for participants of public assistance programs. Peer support from team members helps families leave welfare successfully. Allies are also included on the team. These are other folks who are financially stable, want to be involved and can be truly supportive. The team meets regularly to support self-sufficiency and leadership plans.
