Mission Statement

Theatre Oxford is a community theater dedicated to bringing dramatic art to Mississippi's Oxford/Lafayette/University community through readings, demonstrations, workshops and productions.

Description

For 22 years, Theatre Oxford has produced plays, directors, actors and playwrights, and embedded ourselves in the artistic fabric of Oxford, Mississippi.

We are committed to developing new works as well as traditional themes for children and adults. Relying on the expertise of professionals and amateurs in our community who volunteer their services, we seek to meet our community's needs for dramatic arts. We endeavor to reflect the cultural diversity of our community in our casting, programming and productions. We believe in the power of drama to bring positive experiences through laughter and tears evoked by quality dramatic arts.
