Mission Statement

"wholeheartedly loving our city and telling its stories" HeARTy Foods by CityHeART (fka Feeding Long Beach) -- offers hot meals and sack lunches to local drop-in centers and shelters Harvest Partners LB by CityHeART -- rescues produce from residential property and distributes it to those in need across the city HeARTsy by CityHeART-- brings arts to children with special needs and at-risk youth through community events and multi-platform art camps for kids living in affordable housing or in shelters Connect! by CityHeART -- offers peer-led support groups and connects those in need to resources (clothing, hygiene products, rental assistance, etc.), supporting them into the next step in their journeys Art from Ashes by CityHeART -- offers therapeutic art workshops to folks struggling with mental and emotional health and uses art to raise awareness of social issues in the city.

Description

When we launched our organization in January, 2016, we considered ourselves an art collective that told true stories about important community issues and then sought out opportunity to combat and serve those issues. My how we have grown! Since then, we have evolved into an all-volunteer outreach organization run by artists and local creatives with five unique programs that serve side by side making a collective impact for the betterment of the homeless and at-risk community in Long Beach.
