Mission Statement

The Single MOM KC (TSMKC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and emotional healing of single mother families. We utilize the gift of hospitality to create a welcoming and safe environment for single mothers in the Kansas City Metro. We support and equip single mothers to raise their children in a secure, peaceful, faith-filled environment. Our vision is to see the negative statistics that surround a generation growing up without the presence of a father in the home transformed. We believe by empowering the single mother to walk in HOPE she lays a solid foundation for her children to be launched into their future destiny.

Description

We currently offer monthly gatherings for single mother families called PURSUIT. The gatherings offer dinner for the family, children and teen programming and a special message and small group discussion for the mothers. In addition we partner with and lead various weekly and bi-monthly small groups around the community. Our goal is to help single mothers move out of the mindset of rejection, abandonment, and aloneness to developing solid relationships.
We also host quarterly conferences/seminars to equip and empower the single mother in various ways: parenting, finances, emotional wholeness and more.
In addition we offer single mothers 5 or more opportunities a month to visit Clothed With Dignity, our speciality clothing boutique where single mothers choose new and like new clothing, jewelry, accessories, shoes etc.

Our goal is always to bring dignity and honor to women who so often feel unheard, unseen, weary and alone.
