Mission Statement

The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc. LET'S B SAFE Fund helps prevent the sexual abuse and abduction of children, while also working to promote literacy skills at the same time. With a research-based, non-fearful approach that parents, teachers and kids love, we've been able to reach thousands of at-risk youth, in a classroom setting, teaching children the rules that every child must KNOW and FOLLOW every day. Community volunteers read the book, LET'S B SAFE, to students and then surprise children with their own copy of the book and a plush BE SAFE Bumblebee to have and read at home with parents/guardians and siblings.
