Les Jeunes Artistes is a non-profit organization that promotes works of art by younger artists. We provide various platforms, such as those you will see in this group, for younger artists to experience professionalism. We reach out to local businesses, and their surrounding community, to create a collective and lasting impact for arts

Description

About Les Jeunes Artistes De Louisiane- was Founded in Nov. 2015 out of a need for young artist recognition. We have some extremely talented and inventive young folks in our communities, and their work is rarely showcased publically. I wanted to change that, and challenge the public stage to take notice of these hidden figures. So, out of that need I designed a model that would allow kids to perform on a public platform that is only matched by "professional" adult artists. I'm sure you will agree that not all grown-ups are as profound as our kids, but gain recognition for their small accomplishments in the visual arts through gallery showings and museums.
I am proud to say that the board of this organization includes- Debbie Allen, Phylicia Rashad, Patricia Price, Misty White and myself (CEO and founder)
To maintain the arts as a central and vital part of our Louisiana heritage, we must demand that the next gen. be allowed to demonstrate the significance of our culture through it. No more cuts!
