Vigil Care Needed

We are committed to patient safety and assuring that no patient dies alone. A Vigil Care Volunteer supports the plan of care for the hospice patient, to ensure patient safety and to provide a presence and support to the patient when death is imminent. Vigil Care is implemented to provide support to the caregiver/family members who feel overwhelmed or scared when death of their loved one is imminent. Vigil Care Volunteers may come in hours or days before death. If the vigil is long, the vigil staff and volunteers may take shifts if the patient or family wants someone there continuously. Vigil Care Volunteers are asked to document using volunteer documentation tools. If you think you have what it takes to be a death vigil volunteer, contact us today! Vigil Care may include: Providing a calm physical presence Sitting together Talking and listening Shared silence Healing touch Reading of scripture or inspirational text Requested rituals Inspirational music Physical care by licensed skilled nurses or certified nursing assistants

Spend Time With A Hospice Patient

Do you have a couple of free hours you would like to donate to a hospice patient? Hours are up to you! You can visit once a month, once a week , etc. Visits are important to our hospice patients because staff is the only visit some will get. It also helps the patient's family during a difficult time. During visits you can chat, read books, listen to music, work on puzzles and the list goes on. Please contact me and you can start giving back to a hospice patient!

Brighten A Hospice Patients Day

Would you like to spend sometime with a hospice patient? We have some awesome patients that would love an extra visit. Some patients only have hospice staff that comes out to see them and some are lonely and like to talk about their life experiences. If you have some free time and would like to donate it to a hospice patient please reach out to us. The times and days are up to you. You will go out and spend time with the patient, you can sit and talk, play cards , puzzles, watch a movie and the list goes on. We look forward to meeting you!

Volunteer For A Veteran

Volunteer with a Veteran!! We are looking for volunteers to call one of our Veteran patients to chat. These days are pretty different and isolation can get the best of us. A friendly phone call to a veteran can make their day. If you like to be assigned to a Hospice veteran to call once a week please contact us and we can set you up.
