Community Helpline is a confidential listening, referral and crisis hotline serving California with a toll free phone number. People of all ages call about concerns related to stress, losses, loneliness, divorce, relationships, drug and alcohol use, family violence, depression, crisis and suicide. Callers are offered appropriate referrals from over 10,000 low-cost, no-fee agencies throughout the state of California. Community Helpline's "HEAR PROGRAM" offers two, three and four hour seminars on basic listening skills to educators, law enforcement, businesses, and any interested group.

I have been volunteering here for more than 2 years ago. This is an amazing organization! The training teaches you a lot about how to listen and communicate with people and the work listening to the callers is very rewarding. The people who work for this agency are very nice and supportive too!
