Our mission is to provide programs and services that empower individuals with low vision to lead productive, independent lives
Vision Loss Alliance of New Jersey is a 75 year strong organization which started as a summer camp for blind women and has transformed into an organization that provides training in vision rehabilitation skills, mobile technology (iPad and iPhone) as well as classes to improve psycho-social and physical well being. We are the only nonprofit organization that provides these services to the blind and low vision community in the state of New Jersey. Since our founding we have helped over 50,000 individuals and their families to remain independent. We recently introduced low vision services, which will provide the skills training through an Occupational Therapist, and like our organization is the only one of its kind in New Jersey. Our primary client base is adults over the age of 50, which has the fastest growing population of low vision individuals.
