provide exterior home improvement assistance for Senior Citizens, Disabled Adults, and Veterans of the United States Armed Forces or their Surviving Spouse so that they may continue living independently.

Description

Hearts & Hammers will transform the homes and live vulnerable and deserving homeowner this year. Qualifying homes must require significant exterior painting; many other exterior improvements such as window and door replacement, accessibility ramp construction, and landscaping are also done as needed. A typical Hearts & Hammers home is "rehabbed" in one day to restore the character, weatherproofing, security and accessibility of each home. An average team consists of 30 volunteers from up to three different organizations.
