Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

At Openmind Projects we have Three Learning Pillars: 1. Our own Training Center, 2. Our Learning Camps, 3. Our Field Projects. We see our Training Center acting as an online learning and sharing hub for young learners. We see us reaching out to more children, villages with our mobile learning camps. We see poor villages and schools being inspired to use the new opportunities of 21st-century learning skills. "Our Mission is to Creating Learners" Ignite brighter futures, empower people by creating independent lifelong learners. We introduce 21st-century learning to the disadvantaged in SE Asia. We help them acquire the knowledge and skills they need in a changing world where lifelong learning is a must!
Who we are. Openmind Projects is a nonprofit NGO, charity, based in Thailand. We started in 2002 with the mission to help people to better learning opportunities and the idea that IT can be the poor man’s best help.
Openmind Projects was born as a pioneer computer training project in Thailand. The first three projects were two orphan homes and a village in Thailand.
we support projects, schools, national parks around Southeast Asia and arrange Learning Camps for disadvantaged village children, migrants, refugees, stateless.
Openmind Projects is a non profit NGO which suited a retired person like me perfectly. Small, familial, caring, uninstitutionalized, its outreach is simple, sincere, and straightforward. It reaches out to impoverished youths to give them the essentials, IT and English, to get them started in the working world. It uses the simple and basic method of motivating, building confidence, encouraging curiosity and a desire to learn. It offers long term support for its learners and local community volunteers.
I spent 5 weeks there this year, 2018, and I was inspired.
Open mind Projects is a one - off, unique organisation which will satisfy volunteers who genuinely want to make a contribution, and fulfil the dreams of many beneficiaries.
