MISSION To seek a discernment of, and a response to God’s will through His Word in providing the church membership with a solid Christian foundation. To promote faithful service and witness through positive outreach and programs which will excite and encourage all persons in the membership. To assume a conscious role to build in the community of the followers of Christ, a variety of experiences, programs, and support services consistent with the way of the Lord and the Discipline of the United Methodist Church.

Gethsemane United Methodist Church is a flourishing, dynamic community of disciples of Jesus Christ who are being changed through word, worship, and nurture. We are transforming the world through relevant witness and service. Located in Capitol Heights, Maryland, this congregation strives to promote faithful service and witness through positive outreach and programs which will excite and encourage all persons to assume a conscious role to build in the community of Christ.
