Description
Since its foundation in 1994, ECPAT Taiwan has insisted on providing human rights-based and professional service for disadvantaged minority and on helping them build independent and better lives. The range of ECPAT Taiwan’s services stretching from working with: commercially sexually exploited children and adolescents, female trafficking victims, and children, parents, and teachers who concern about online safety, to the coordination of voluntary youth participation programs. As commercial sexual exploitation of children, such as child sex tourism, child sex trafficking and child sexual abuse content, and human trafficking are transnational issues, the international cooperation to combat these crimes is necessary. Therefore, ECPAT Taiwan has been a member of ECPAT International since 1991 and a member of INHOPE (International Association of Internet Hotlines) since 2005.
