Mission Statement

Big Oaks Rescue Farm mission is to rescue and provide sanctuary for equines (horses, donkeys and mules, who have been abused, neglected or in danger, to restore them to health, and where feasible, find them a loving home. Our mission includes educating the public about responsibility for animal care and preventing abuse and neglect of animals.

Description

Big Oaks is an al-volunteer organization located on a 48-acre farm in Greenwood, SC. We primarily take in horses and donkeys, rehabilitate them and find them new homes. If they can not be adopted, we provide them sanctuary.

We work with animal control agencies from South Carolina counties and respond to calls from owners or relatives of owners who can not care for animals due to death or disability BORF rescues, feeds, cares for and attempts to find new homes.
