Mission Statement
DuPage County Animal Care & Control is a self-supporting (non taxpayer funded) county department designed to: •Prevent and control rabies through bite investigation and rabies registration •Enforce state and county animal control and welfare laws •Operate a shelter for stray and owner-relinquished non-native animals •Adopt animals to responsible homes •Euthanize unwanted animals not suitable for adoption •Promote responsible pet-ownership and animal welfare through counseling and law enforcement •Rescue animals that are lost, diseased, injured, or in peril •Provide public education programs for adults and children.
Description
DuPage County Animal Care and Control is an open-admission animal shelter. We work to find placement for dogs, cats, rabbits and many other domestic animals. Volunteers play a vital role in helping to care for and socialize the animals in our care.
