Mission Statement

Teach and modify behaviors in youth ages 11-18 who are overweight, obese, or at risk, and their family and friends in a nurturing camp environment that promotes healthy eating and daily physical activity using evidence-based strategies to foster a healthy way of life.

Description

Camp ENERGY develops healthy habits in youth and families. Camp ENERGY is a fun and informative program featuring nutrition and exercise education in a supportive, positive environment to boost self-esteem. We believe that being healthy is more than skin deep. We teach campers how to manage their emotions and integrate a healthy lifestyle into their social life. Campers learn how to record food and exercise, try new foods in a positive atmosphere, cook healthy meals, and incorporate attainable goal setting into their daily life to ensure long-term success.
