In lieu of a comprehensive national poverty policy to specifically address this need, which can take years to realize, the Miami Diaper Bank works locally to provide immediate relief, filling the gap in resources by fundraising as well as collecting and distributing diapers and diaper supplies to local institutions designed to support low-income and poverty-stricken families care for their children.
The Miami Diaper Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting and distributing free diapers to homeless and low-income families across South Florida. Since we were founded in 2013 (by a middle school student) we have donated over 1,900,000 diapers and counting!
We’re able to make a difference in the community thanks to the help of over 37 amazing community partners throughout South Florida, including including Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition, Miami-Dade Early Learning Coalition, The Lotus House, Ronald McDonald House and Chapman Partnership.
